Film It West Covina is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization who aims to provide a creative space for aspiring filmmakers. We encourage our filmmakers to delve into projects that not only entertain, but provoke reflection, incite action, and create long-lasting effects to those who experience their work.
We offer aspiring filmmakers an opportunity to produce and submit short films that are showcased at our annual Film Festival event. The event is the culmination of the hard work our filmmakers put in to complete a film. Top films selected by our judges are screened and eligible to win awards and other networking opportunities.
We would like to mention that we are proud that our 2022 "Creativity Unleashed" Film Festival was our first student-run event. Our emcee, performers, technical staff, and volunteers were all students aspiring to emerge in the film industry. We are proud of the work they did to create such a successful event!
Our 2022 "Creativity Unleashed" Film It Festival, being a student organized event, opened the doors to other arts. We are proud that we are now able to provide opportunity to rising student bands and allow them to open for our film festival. Our film festival is well attended by industry experts, industry festival organizers, producers, directors, talent scouts, and more. In fact, for the first time, not only did one of our students performing bands have the opportunity to be featured in a small production, but our winning film was showcased at the iHollywood Film Fest - International Hollywood Film Festival!
We continue to strive to create connections and opportunities to all who are involved in Film It West Covina. In fact, for 2023, we are opening up the opportunities to the entire East San Gabriel Valley. Our West Covina students wanted to create a more competitive space and also want to expand their audience. We look forward to the 2023 "Dreams" Film It Festival.

Film It West Covina is proud to connect with the City of West Covina, WCUSD, industry experts, international film festivals, colleges, universities, and local service groups to bring forth our annual Film Festival. As we continue to expand, we work to provide students with networking opportunities in the fields that they are interested, whether it is producing, graphic design, directing, acting, and more. Our goal is to connect students in a safe, efficient, and effective way to pave a way to achieve their dreams!
